Yesterday (January 24th) was the 30th anniversary of the execution of Ted Bundy, one of the infamous serial killers to walk the earth. One of his attorneys would later say that Bundy was the definition of heartless evil. Netflix celebrated yesterday by posting a 4-part documentary called Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes. The documentary was directed by Joe Berlinger. And today here is the trailer for his feature-length film about Ted Bundy starring none-other than Zac Efron.
It’s always weird making the serial killer seem so appealing and charming, but in reality, that’s how it works best. Along with the insane interest in True Crime genres (from all mediums ranging from books, podcasts, and movies), this is an obvious choice of a film. It looks really well done and hopefully, it won’t shy away in revealing in the actual atrocities that were done by Ted Bundy. There’s a quick and stylish take on the story, at least by the look of the trailer. Let’s hope that the trailer is an actual testament of the movie.
I’ll be checking this film out when it’s finally released, but until then – I guess I’ll check out the documentary first.
