Brandon Cronenberg made a huge splash with his debut feature Antiviral. One part of it was apart of who his father was, but another part was the fact he made a great debut.

Well he’s finally back, and I’ve been waiting to see this film for a long time. But also, it feels like a long time because 2020 has already felt like it lasted at least 2.5 years.

I’ve mentioned it before, but Cineplex is where I think I became who I am. It’s been my longest ongoing (and off) job. It’s where I’ve met most of my closest friends. And for the ones who didn’t work there, I met because of people who had. I have love for the company. For a while, Cineplex had been silent after George Floyd’s murder but a team helped curate films to elevate Black stories, artists and filmmakers. And right now, you can go and rent them for free on the Cineplex store app. Cineplex showed up to the conversation and are doing their part to make a statement in the conversation.

Here is the link for you to rent and watch the films. Don’t know where to start? We have some suggestions.

Dear… is one of the newest series to premiere on the still new and fresh Apple TV+ streaming service. I haven’t found time to dive into a lot of their programming, but I’m a massive fan of Mythic Quest, and even more so for their latest Quarantine episode. This brings us to one of our latest original programs, Dear… which is a docuseries that profiles game-changers.

I’ll be honest, I’ve so far only seen trailers to many of Christopher Guest’s films, and even with that minimal knowledge, it’s clear that writer and director Laura Kosann loves his films. She decided to tackle a mockumentary about social media influencers. What Laura accomplishes is proving how infuriating they can be, and makes a statement on how the “selfie” generation kind of sucks.
