Avengers Endgame is breaking all box office records in the books. It is the fastest movie to ever get not only to 1 billion dollars but also to 2 billion and I would be surprised if it surpasses Avatar soon-ish. With a 300+ millions debut in North America alone and 1.2 billion worldwide, it is indisputable how big the film and the franchise is. And Marvel Studios deserves the praise for what it has achieved. Endgame is one hell of a film, giving everyone a satisfying ending to the Infinity Saga that we have been watching since the first Iron Man came out. But, if there’s one flaw for me in this near perfect film is the introduction of a throwaway gay character (played by one of the directors) and how the media decided to frame this character.
Ladies and gentlemen, the big game is here. Which means it’s time for trailers and commercial, because really who cares for the game? Okay, maybe some people do but really most of us watch it for the commercials, and sometimes the halftime show.
And of course, what had to kick off the big game was Avengers: Endgame. Was there ever any doubt that we would be getting something for this film? It’s only 30 seconds long and doesn’t tell us much but it’s here and it made me just a little bit (a lot) more excited for this film to come out.
The whole MCU fandom might just be waiting for Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame but we Marvel has not forgotten about their future. The first film after Endgame is going to be the follow up to 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. While not everything is known about the project, especially where it takes place in the MCU timeline.
