Don’t Let Go [Trailer]

When I turned on my laptop yesterday morning, I didn’t think that it was going to be another case of Trailer Week . We didn’t get around to writing about The King’s Man but our brief thoughts are that while Golden Circle didn’t meet expectations, the prequel looks like it’ll correct its wrongs. That’s why we didn’t do a write-up, we didn’t have more to say.

This film, on the other hand, I’m very intrigued by.

Once again, a Sundance film.

Produced by Jason Blum and the powerhouse that is Blumhouse, we have a film directed by Jacob Aaron Estes. Don’t Let Go is about a man who loses his niece and family due to a murder. Soon after, he receives a call from his niece but is calling him from two weeks prior.

Insane movie magic, but by the looks of the trailer, it works. What the trailer promises is an intense race against the clock – even after the clock hit zero. David Oyelowo looks as great as he always is, as is star Storm Reid. Not to mention it looks like Brian Tyree Henry is in this, and he’s always great in everything.

This film is set to be released at the end of August, and it’ll be a nice buffer as regular movie season slows down, and TIFF begins.
