Ah, trailer time is always a good time. And with San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, you know it will just keep coming. And for the third time today, a new trailer has arrived at our door. This time for the adaptation of The Kitchen starring Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids), Tiffany Haddish (Girl’s Trip) and Elizabeth Moss (The Handmaids Tale).

Now, this is the second trailer for this film and it looks totally bonkers. I still don’t know how I feel about the film, while the trailer makes it look really insane, I still think that maybe some of the castings aren’t there. Look, I love Tiffany Haddish but she doesn’t seem to fit the tone of the film for me just yet. But at the same time, someone like Melissa McCarthy proved us last year how a comedic actress can take a more serious role. So while I still have my reservation about this, I still look forward to the movie.

The Kitchen is a comic book adaptation but it seems to be a lot more grounded. It is described as a crime thriller film and that is exciting because it is a genre that is slowly disappearing. Plus you put three women at the centre of it all and you have me hooked already. Now, all we have to do is wait and see for how this film will pan out.

The Kitchen will be released in theatres on August 9th.
