I am not the biggest fan of Christmas films, they are too cheesy and often are so predictable that I can watch one and have seen all of them. But that being said Happiest Season is one of my most anticipated films of the year. Why? A film directed by Clea Duvall with Mackenzie Davis and Kristen Stewart as girlfriends, it’s everything I would ever want. And so, I have been waiting, taking every little information where I could, waiting until the trailer would arrive. And well, waiting is something of the past because the trailer is here and if you are like me, you had your television on with youtube ready five minutes before the trailer dropped and just sat there waiting.

Now that I have seen it, can I just say how excited I am for this? Anyone who knows me knows the love I have for Kristen Stewart but also can we talk about this cast? It’s just wonderful to see so many great actors in one place but also so many queer actors in one film. Dan Levy, Victor Garber, Kristen Stewart, Aubrey Plaza, all of them openly queer and being in a queer film is just so great. It seems cheesy and over the top but we never get queer films like this, so to have one is just so great for me. Sure, it might still disappoint but I am so ready for this film and to be able to watch it.
