The last one of the day.

(And probably my most anticipated one.)

As a note, this is literally a love letter to Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson and I have no shame in saying so.

Every time news for Matt Reeves The Batman drops, I can’t help but be excited. First and foremost, Robert Pattinson as the titular character is everything. And to anyone who says he can’t act because of Twilight. Go watch his most recent work and come back to me because that is a pure lie and I will die on Robert Pattinson’s mountain because that man can act. (Just watch Good Times, just do it, I promise you, you will love him after.) [editor’s note: I second this and add The Lost City of Z.]

Then you add the rest of the cast, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, John Turturro as Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred and Colin Farrel as The Penguin is just a cast that I can get behind. Plus Matt Reeves is an incredible director and everything that he has said about this film makes me excited even more. The film clearly takes inspiration from the amazing comic Batman: Year Two and if you haven’t read it, go it’s amazing.

News of the fact that the film would take place on what is called Earth 1 and launch its own series of films is exciting and I can’t wait to see it and enjoy the beauty of this film.
